I think Mystery is a genius and not for knowing how to score in bed, but scoring in the real world. Implementing his ways and ideas can and will help anyone success in building relationships in all aspects of life.

Sounds like a clever strategy. How much have you made so far from selling your James Bond e-book?

@Andrew - You're right on with this, "One of the things that fascinates me the most is the extreme difference between how people say they want to be treated and what they actually respond to."

@Philip - Just like in real live interactions, the neg needs to be subtle and not completely offensive (that said, I think offensive is better than not noticeable though).

The negs are a part of the overall system so I can't tell you specifically how well they work.

Awesome post Derek. I often hear people putting down the Mystery Method or simply dismissing the ideas without really taking the time to really understand what its about. The Mystery Method is simply a "method" allows guys to have a higher chance of success in social situations, not just for getting laid. It is not an absolute law of social dynamics, and sadly some people mistakenly view it in that manner. Just like there are numerous ways to sell an ebook onlne, there numerous ways to get girls. In the end, what matters are the results (sales, girls) and the Mystery Method is proven to increase the chances of achieving these results.

I enjoyed the ideas here. I think you are onto something, it does seem like an excellent strategy to follow. I am actually curious if you have used the Mystery Method to actually meet women?

Oh, as far as negging your customer, have you had a lot of success with it?

Great post.

Like just about everything, a lot of people get hung up on the tiniest detail of this and try to spin all of the value out of the ideas. I've had conversations about this exact topic before which have always devolved into the other person making it all about trumped up manipulation and sex. Then it's onto Logical Fallacies 101 with an extra helping of poisoning in the well.

There is a ton of good stuff in this from the psychology angle. One of the things that fascinates me the most is the extreme difference between how people say they want to be treated and what they actually respond to. "Stumbling on Happiness" by Daniel Gilbert touches on a lot of the same concepts from a different direction.

Nice work... Well worth the wait.
