What you actually are saying is that you are pushing the boundaries of what is possible, seeing how far you can go. The ultimate state being when you are actually standing on the line but you aren't crossing it. When you can laugh at failure there isn't really anything that can stop you from achieve things. It just takes different amount of tries for different kind of things. If you are afraid of looking dumb in public (being insecure about your looks), go out dressed as a carrot or w/e and see how bad it really is (or not). Just my 5 cents. I think you’re right.
