To Chris: obviously, you are one of those people who trawl the Net, looking for something to be offended by. It is clear that the original poster had no intention of offending anyone, yet you decide to jump on a throwaway comment as if he had deliberately directed an insult at you and your family.

"Retarded" is defined as "Retarded [r??t??d?d]
adj (Psychology) underdeveloped, esp mentally and esp having an IQ of 70 to 85.

The average intelligence quotient of a child with Down's Syndrome is 50.

Incidentally, there is no such thing as an "r word". Whilst you are sensitive to this word, being the parent of a child with a unfortunate genetic condition, there is no need to attempt to impose your own speech patterns on those around you. As an example, your own screen name means something offensive in my native language, yet I do not propose that you change your name, or attempt to soften it with a ridiculous euphemism.

I'm about to send my nomads back because of the bagginess at the ankles and shins. Interestnig idea you have. they also seem kind of wrinkled despite being allegedly wrinkle-free but if they were tapered i think they would look less wrinkled.

As a parent of a child with down syndrome, I find your use of the r word offensive. As I travel e world regularly, I would think you would be exposed to many different things, and types... And would be sensitive to not offending the environment you are in. Please understand, your use of this word is offensive. Period.
