Still aren't following me on Twitter? What are you waiting for?
As I write this I’m sitting in the Buenos Aires airport looking at Argentine women for probably the last time in a long time. They’re a fine specimen of woman flesh and bone. But I can’t be too upset about leaving them. I’ll be in Colombia by morning.
The Final Stats
- 57 approaches
- 28 email addresses
- 22 follow-up responses
- 1 meet-up
Analysis
I was able to convert 49.1% (28/57) of the approaches into email addresses. This is more than double the expected 20%. The percentage is a little bit deceiving as I didn’t ask every girl I approached for their email. Also, I’d be willing to bet some girls just gave their emails without even the slightest intention of responding. But on the whole, I’d say the squeeze page (me) did a good job of collecting emails.
78.6% (22/28) of the girls responded to my follow-up email with either 1) a Facebook add, or 2) some sort of “Hey, I’m going to X bar on X night here’s my number, call me,” 3) “Hello Derek, how are you?” But after that, crickets.
I’d say this was great, but after 3 weeks, I only had one follow-up meeting. Only 3.6% (1/28) of the girls who gave me their email addresses I actually saw a second time. I feel like that’s a low number but overall, a seasoned marketer wouldn’t be too phased by this. With a 100 email addresses you can expect 2% to actually buy the product you’re selling. If buying the product (me) is represented by a follow up meeting then I did well.

In tomorrow’s post I’ll give my final rundown thoughts and observations on Argentine girls.
